A WHALE OF A TIME
I’m off to do some whale watching in Monterey, California. I’m sharing the experience with 3 friends whose birthdays are close enough in July and August to have a wonderful 3-way celebration. I am very much looking forward to time away, beautiful scenery and especially hanging out with friends.
Many people I know get very stressed out when it comes to planning, budgeting, and even enjoying vacation time. Here is a list of some of the typical pressures that people may struggle with:
1. I can’t afford the expense.
2. I can’t take the time off of work.
3. I am afraid to fly.
4. I always over-pack.
5. What if the weather is lousy?
6. What if they lose my luggage?
7. How can I leave my sick mother?
8. What if I fight with my spouse, friend and/or traveling companion?
9. What if I spend all that money and have a bad experience?
10. What if the people I meet don’t like me?
As I’m sure you’ve guessed from my previous messages, any and all of these issues or concerns can easily be dealt with by tapping. In fact, if you apply either Lindsay Kenny’s “Bundling Baggage” technique or my “Tap and Whine” idea, you can tap on each of your separate traveling issues in one long rant.
Instead of doing separate rounds for each of the issues, you can complain about them all together while tapping on each topic. As soon as you notice that you have brought all the numbers down on the traveling stuff, you can begin to incorporate CHOICES for your ideal vacation:
I choose peace.
I choose to easily afford all of my expenses.
I choose to get ahead at work so that I feel comfortable leaving the office.
I choose to be comfortable on my flight.
I choose to pack appropriately.
I choose to enjoy the weather, etc.
Have a great vacation, even if you stay at home and take a break from your daily routine.
Blessings,
Kiya
