I am continually amazed by the countless ways that energy tapping can be combined with other techniques to create more and more powerful ways to enhance the healing process.  Many of the techniques I have learned are now called “EFT Cousins.” 

I love the expression Try It On Everything and I encourage you to combine EFT with whatever else works well in your life.  You can listen to a beautiful piece of music and tap along so the energy of the music becomes imprinted in your energy field.  Patricia Carrington talks about hearing the calming sound of rain on a tin roof and tapping so that she can say (and tap) to herself at another time:  rain on my tin roof, rain on my tin roof…

Recently, I learned about an ancient Hawaiian method for stress release called Ho’oponopono.  The word means “to make right or to rectify an error.” All that is involved is to look within and say over and over again:

I love you.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.

The words are not to anyone in particular.  When I said the words, I felt many different feelings.  Sometimes, I felt that I was speaking to myself.  Other times, I felt like I was apologizing to people I have hurt in my life.  And other times, I felt like I was praying to God.

These few simple words are very powerful in and of themselves:  I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I imagine that Hawaiian healers have said these words and passed them on for hundreds, if not thousands of years.  But now we have a powerful tool to add to the words:  tapping.

Try this as an exercise for personal peace.  Sit in a quiet place, and say these words and tap over and over again:

 

EYEBROW (EB):                  I love you.                  

SIDE OF EYE (SE):               I’m sorry.                   

UNDER EYE (UE):               Please forgive me.     

UNDER NOSE (UN):            Thank you.                

CHIN (CH):                           I love you.                  

COLLARBONE (CB):          I’m sorry.

UNDER ARM (UA):             Please forgive me.

UNDER BREAST (UB):       Thank you.

TOP OF HEAD (TH):            I love you.
