Just a Rock
I was talking with a friend recently about the fact that every single awful thing that ever happens to a person inevitably contributes to their growth as a person. We were discussing the old adage: That which does not kill me makes me stronger and I came up with my own new adage:
If a diamond wasn’t abused, it would just be a rock. Kiya Immergluck
In a couple of weeks, I will be doing a fundraiser walk for Breast Cancer research. I am a 15 year survivor who is eternally grateful that I have survived and thrived after that awful experience. I often think how much easier my experience might have been if I knew back then about tapping techniques.
Believe me, I had plenty of other difficult experiences in my life that helped to sharpen the edges of my “diamond-in-the-rough” self, but cancer was probably the deepest facet of all. I wouldn’t wish the experience on anyone (including myself), but the fact remains that I grew and matured as a direct result of that life-and-death chapter of my life.
Here are some of the ways I would have used tapping to ease the stress of that experience:
So, all you great diamonds out there, know that hard things often happen in life and that tapping can ease the pain even while you are becoming a lovelier and lovelier diamond.
If you would like to make a contribution to my Breast Cancer Cure Walkathon (called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer), please send me an e-mail at: kiya@eft-tap.com with your name, e-mail and pledge amount and I will send you the link to my personal page. For some reason, I can’t get to it now.
Also, if you or anyone you know might be interested in a tapping class for Moms and Kids at the Infinity Foundation in Highland Park, please sign up at their website: www.infinityfoundation.org for the class on Sunday, October 11th.
If you would like to take my Tapping Techniques Workshop in Chicago on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 10 AM until 5 PM, please call or e-mail me to reserve your space: 773.880.5492 or kiya@eft-tap.com. We will be reviewing all of the basic tapping techniques plus lots of new and innovative extras. The cost is $100 per person, or $75 if you reserve your space before
October 1st.
My interview on Cable TV about tapping is on YouTube. The half hour show is shown in 3 segments on YouTube. Check it out:
