Here is the answer to my last post: what are the names of the 7 dwarfs? I know that it is incredibly easy to “google” it and immediately get the answer, but I am so glad that I can do it now without any outside help.

It takes so little to make me happy! Here is my little memory helper. I noticed that the names in alphabetical order include: 1 B, 2 D’s, 1 G, 1 H, and 2 S’s. That has been the only clue that I have needed. Of course, in a few days, I might forget even the simple sequence of letters, but for this moment in time, I have the answer to a popular trivia question!

So, here I go from memory: the one “B” is Bashful, the two “D’s” are Doc and Dopey, the one “G” is Grumpy, the one “H” is Happy, and the 2 “S’s” are Sleepy and Sneezy.

You may think that this is all very silly and unimportant, but I am convinced that playing little memory games is a great way to keep your mind alert.  Another way is to do math problems without a calculator.

Here’s one that you will probably already know if you happen to be Jewish, but it is a fun question that isn’t easily figured out:  how many candles are there in a box of Hanukkah candles?

Here is what you need to know:  on each night of the holiday, you light one “server” candle that you use to light the other candles, so on the first night, you light 2 candles and on the second night you light 3 candles, all the way up to the eighth and final night when you light 9 candles.  Every night, you burn all of the candles completely.

So, how many candles do you need to have in the box?  I learned this number the hard way when I was a very small child.  There seemed to be way more candles than you could possibly need, so I started playing with the “extra” candles and managed to break a few.  I got in trouble because you really need ALL of the candles in the box!

And, please don’t forget that the Tapping for Thrivers teleconference is tomorrow evening, 8 PM Central time.  Join us by dialing: 712.432.0800, Code ; 132018#.

Blessings,

Hi Kiya; Enjoyed your Valentine newsletter, and did the tapping. Spent the past couple of days feeling like I had been having post it notes stuck on me with unwanted energy and comments. Now that I “tapped” I had that visualization and pulled them off, one by one feeling back in control again. Thanks for reminding me that we don’t need to let other people’s stuff attach itself to us permenantly.
Also noted that you have a Hinsdale address. We lived in Oakbrook Terrace before we moved to Dallas. Who knew we were in the same area many moons ago! Keep up your good work.
